¡Arriba la capilaridad!

La capilaridad es la capacidad que poseen los líquidos de avanzar o ascender por espacios muy pequeños, ya que espacios (vasos, tubos, etc.) permiten que las moléculas de dicho liquido “trepen” en su interior. Sirve para cosas como para que las plantas transporten el agua desde su raíz hasta sus hojas para realizar la fotosíntesis o para que la sangre que vuelve al corazón se transporte, entre otras cosas.A continuación podrán ver el fenómeno en un trabajo practico.

Myth

One day, an old man in a city killed his horse. he was angry with him, because he had escaped from his house. In that city, the people who killed animals were thought to be bad people. So this crime created a lot of tension in the city. Every time that he walked along the streets, people saw him as if he was mean, and they told him:' you killed an animal, you are a bad person'. So one time, the man started to cry, he was sad because everybody said those things to him, and then the man got angry and he threw all the rubbish, the table, the glasses, sun glasses and everything he saw in the streets. After that, a big storm appeared.

Kratos made those storms because when he gets angry he send a big storm to the person who made him angry. In this case, the man who killed the horse was a very cruel man so that's why kratos sent the big storm to the city. Kratos thought that about this man because killing a horse or any animal was terrible for nature. This man could make the specie disappear, most probably he could die because of Kratos storms. They were very powerful, but Kratos would never forgive what this man did, he would continue until the death of this man.

The sky went dark because of the storm , the trees were destroyed by the thunders of the storm. The man was looking for a place to hide. He looked at a stone. The man ran to it but the stone blew up and disappeared in the sky. He didn't know what he was doing or where he was running to. The storm was getting worse. The storm was was shouting to the man with thunders. The sky was getting red. the man was running to the village with storm behind him. It started raining, but it wasn't,t water. it was blood. The blood of the horse was coming down from the sky. The man was running covered blood. He was close to the city and the storm stop. but now a days the storm apear but with out blood.

¡El super huevo!

En la clase de Naturales fuimos al laboratorio a experimentar algunos temas trabajados en clase como la capilaridad, la densidad. A continuacion, podran ver algunas imagenes de como trabajamos con el huevo en el laboratorio.

Para entender el concepto de densidad utilizamos:

Un huevo.

Agua.

Sal.

Una cuchara.

Un frasco.

Imagenes: 

Colocamos un huevo en un frasco con agua.

Le agregamos sal.

Luego, batimos.

Esperamos a ver los resultados.

Le agregamos mas sal.

Lo batimos nuevamente.

Le agregamos mas agua, el huevo bajo pero seguia flotando.

Le agregamos agua que disolvio la sal y por eso el huevo desendio pero seguia flotando.

Mar Muerto

El mar muerto es famoso por ser el mar mas salado en el mundo. Ademas, es el unico sin vida. El mar muerto afecta a la biodiversidad porque al ser un mar tan salado que filtra los rayos UB y causa quemaduras.

Poesía en el aula

Escribimos nuestra propia versión del "Romance de ultima hora" y una descripción de nosotros como estudiante:

A la salida del colegio,

hay un tsunami de chicos corriendo.

El portero habré la puerta,

con orgullo y sin molestia.

Camino a casa,

muchos amigos pasan.

Empieza el fin de semana,

durmiendo en su cama.

Para mi no soy ni mala ni buena estudiante. Generalmente cumplo con lo que hay que hacer aunque a veces este cansada o con pocas ganas. Traigo los materiales necesarios para trabajar.

Psicosis, una cronica Policial.

Mujer asesinada por dueño de un Motel

Norman Bates, dueño del Motel, asesina a Marion  Crane disfrazado de su difunta madre.

El móvil del crimen ocurrió por los celos  de Bates hacia la madre y su amante. Al fallecer el padre de Bates, el muchacho pierde la razón. La madre al fallecer su esposo se une a Bates. Un tiempo después, la madre de Bates conoció a un nuevo hombre que luego se convirtió en su amante. Esto causó que Bates se ponga celoso del amante y de su madre, lo cual lo llevó al demente de Bates a envenenarlos y así asesinarlos. Al volverse demente, llevó el cadáver de su madre a su hogar, sin permitir que nadie la visite haciendo creer a todos ,incluso a el mismo, que podría seguir viva. 

Una noche en el Motel, arribó una señora llamada Marion Crane. El Sr. Bates la recibió con mucho gusto, tuvieron una cena agradable juntos y le asignó una habitacion junto a su oficina. Aquella noche, la señora Crane tomó una ducha. Inesperadamente, Bates se disfrazó de su difunta madre y asesinó a la señora Crane apuñalandola. Luego,limpió el baño de la señora Crane y la arrojó al río dentro del baúl de su auto para no dejar ningún tipo de sospechas o rastros. 

La policia apresó a Bates, inmediatamente confesó todo lo ocurrido. Finalmente, la policia visitó el Motel donde allí encontraron el cadaver de Crane en el río, adentro del auto.

Enfermedad De Chagas

La enfermedad de Chagas, también conocida como tripanosomiasis americana oMal de Chagas-Mazza, es una enfermedad parasitaria tropical, generalmente cronica. 

Se considera que la enfermedad de Chagas es endémica de América, distribuyéndose desde Mexico al resto de Sudamerica, aunque existen vectores y reservorios incluso en el sur de los Estados Unidos, y en la actualidad se considera una enfermedad con casos identificados en Canada y EE.UU. 

Se estima que son infectadas por la enfermedad de Chagas entre 15 y 17 millones de personas cada año, de las cuales mueren unas 50 000. La enfermedad tiene mayor prevalencia en las regiones rurales más pobres de América Latina.

■ Es una enfermedad que puede causar malestares graves en el estómago y en el corazón.

■ Es una enfermedad que se transmite por el contacto con un insecto triatomino llamado “chinche besucona”, “benchuca”, “vinchuca”, “chinche”, o “barbeiro”.

■ Después de unas pocas semanas o meses de la picadura, las personas pueden tener síntomas leves como

• Fiebre y dolores musculares.
• Hinchazón de los párpados.
• Hinchazón en el área de la picadura.

Cualquier persona. Sin embargo, las personas que tienen un mayor riesgo son las que:

• Han vivido en zonas rurales de México o de países en Centroamérica y Sudamérica tales como: Argentina, Belice, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, la Guayana Francesa, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, Surinam, Uruguay y Venezuela.
• Han visto el insecto, especialmente en esas áreas.

■ Después de la primera fase de la enfermedad, la mayoría de las personas no tienen síntomas y muchas ni siquiera se enferman.

■ Sin embargo, algunas personas (menos de la mitad) se enferman más tarde y pueden presentar:

1)Ritmo cardiaco irregular que puede causar muerte súbita.

2)Corazón dilatado que no bombea bien la sangre

3)Problemas de digestión o defecación
4)Una mayor probabilidad de sufrir un accidente cerebrovascular.

Glosario, Salud.

En clase estuvimos trabajando con el tema "Salud". Nos repartimos diferentes enfermedades e hicimos un Glosario. A continuación, podrán ver el glosario que yo hice sobre la Hepatitis.
Hepatitis:
 La hepatitis A es una enfermedad del hígado. Hepatitis significa inflamación del hígado. Inflamación es la hinchazón dolorosa y de color rojo que ocurre cuando los tejidos del cuerpo se infectan o lesionan. La inflamación puede causar que los órganos no funcionen adecuadamente.

No podríamos vivir sin el Hígado.

Usted puede contraer la hepatitis A si:

·         Come alimentos preparados por alguien con hepatitis A, que no se lavó las manos después de usar el baño.

·         Bebe agua contaminada o ingiere alimentos lavados con agua contaminada.

·         Mete en la boca los dedos o un objeto que estuvo en contacto con las heces infectadas de una persona con hepatitis A.

tiene contacto personal cercano con una persona infectada, ya sea mediante relaciones sexuales o al cuidar de alguien que contrajo hepatitis A.


Los síntomas de la hepatitis A son los siguientes:

·         cansancio

·         malestar estomacal

·         fiebre

·         pérdida de apetito

·         dolor de estómago

·         diarrea

·         orina turbia y amarillenta

·         heces claras

·         color amarillento de los ojos y la piel, llamado ictericia


Se puede prevenir esta enfermedad vacunándose contra la Hepatitis. La vacuna contra la hepatitis A se aplica mediante dos inyecciones. La segunda inyección se administra de 6 a 12 meses después de la primera inyección. Se requieren ambas inyecciones para estar totalmente protegido del virus.

Podcast Salud

En clase estuvimos trabajando con el tema "Salud". A continuación van a poder observar una grabación echa por mi hacia mi Mamá acerca de el significado de lo que podría ser.

"The day de mountain blew apart"

In class, with Vicky Gregov we read a story that is  call "The day the mountain blew apart". It's about a volcano that erupted in 1980, this volcano destroyed all the place. The volcano was called the Mount. St Helen.

This story is a Historical Narrative because it really happend and tells you about all the causes and consequences that the volcano did.
At the beginning , two men that were called Jerry Wheller and David Johnston were in the mountain when it erupted. Wheleer survived but Johnston died in the moment. Magma have been rising inside the mountain, making a lot of pressure, until it erupted. After that, all the place was destroyed and devastated, 57 people died, everything was covered with ashes, smoke and fire. The forest, plants and animals disappeared and died. Everyone stayed inside their houses and didn't go out because they couldn't breathe. Finnaly, gophers helped they brought the rich soil up to the surface wich helped new plants grow. Elk bones also helped new plants to grow because of the nutrients they had. It will take more than a hundred years to have everything as it was before the eruption.

In my opinion, this is a sad tragedy to many people and I hope all the trees and plants grow again. The story was very intresting, I enjoy it.

Formal Letter

Dear Mr. Cooper,
                            Hello! I am Steve, the one that bought you a machine last weekend. The one that takes you to the past or to the future, any time you want. I hope you remember me, I have some problems and I want you to solved them. I am writing this letter because the machine is not working well and I want you to repair it for me.

The other day, when I wanted to use the machine for the first time, it started making strange sounds. I could not use it. When I turn it on, it always makes those strange sounds. I will go to your shop on Monday with the machine and I hope you can do something please!

Please answer this letter! If you agree, I will see you on Monday! Nice weekend Mr. Cooper!

Journey To Technos, scene 4

Scene 4

SETTING in a workshop near the center spotlight.

AT RISE they are escaping from the bits and the Supreme Technocrat when they find a workshop. They enter and they start to look at all the technological and different things that are there.

Ginny: Willie! We have to return home as soon as we can!

Willie: Yes, that’s true! But I don’t know, I will get crazy..

Shannon: Well, I propose to look at all these electronic things that are in this workshop. Maybe, some of them can be useful to return home.

Mike: Shannon is right! Come on, look at all those things.

Peter: I think you are wrong guys, these are all old things. There are not useful at all.

Shannon: Shut up and listen to me Peter! Start looking for something please.

Ginny: Stop fighting! Oh my god! I will kill both of you!

Willie: Relax Ginny! They are so stupid! Let’s look for a way to return home. (He starts walking and finds something)Hey guys, look at this! (He points out and shows a creased and dirty box covered in dust)

Ginny: What is this Willie?

Shannon (Interrupting): It’s a hoover type 704 AZ so when you search and choose the world where you want to go, then, you teleport there.

All: How did you know it?

Shannon: (Pointing to the wall behind them) Because I read the instructions in the wall and I have studied the different models of hoovers at the Saint Isidrus Technological University. 

All: Ok, great job, Shannon!

Mike: You will tell us about the university later, you super intelligent Shannon.

Peter: I don´t think it is such a great university.

Ginny: Ok, let’s move on. W e don´t have time.

Willie: We will separate to do the different tasks. Mike and Peter will fix the wires inside the machine, Ginny and I will try to see how it works.

Shannon: And I? What am I supposed to do?

Mike: Go and cook us some cupcakes and wash the dishes!

Shannon: Oh you are so funny!

Willie: Stop fighting because we have to return home! Shannon, you will go and get the instructions so you can tell us if we are doing our work correctly.

Shannon: Mike told me I sould cook and wash dishes! Who is in charge here!

All (Laughing): You are!

Ginny: Stop! We don’t have enough time, let’s move on! (To Willie) Do you know where is the keyboard to write the place where we want to go?

Willie: It’s there in- (Shannon interrupts)

Shannon: It´s on the wall near the instructions.

Mike: Thank you, Miss Super Brain (The rest starts to laugh and Shannon looks very annoyed)

Ginny: All right, thank you Shannon. (Looking around) Are we all ready?

All: It´s ready, let’s use it!

Ginny: Ok. Mike, Shannon and Peter go first.

Willie (Blushing): Ok, I agree with that.

Ginny: I am so sorry, Willie, I didn´t mean to take your place!

Mike: Willie and Ginny are in love!

Willie: And you love Super Brain Shannon!

Peter: If you keep on fighting we will all die at Technos!

Willie: That’s right, let’s hurry up! I will go first, Shannon second, and Peter third.

All: Ok, let’s go!

Willie: I will hold the machine and you can leave. Good luck guys! (Shaking hand with the others)

Ginny: Take care of yourself! I will stay with Willie (She blushes)

Mike: This is real love! Ginny seems to be Juliet and Willie is her Romeo! (Shannon and Peter laugh and the three leave. (The machine sucks them in and they disappear)

Willie: Hey Ginny!  Look! The machine seems to be on fire!

Ginny: Oh, God!  Let us hope our friends are ok.

Willie (Concerned): If they died I hope they didn’t suffer.

Ginny: You shouldn’t be so negative. I am sure they are ok.

Willie: Oh, Ginny, you are so optimistic and cute.

Ginny (Changing the subject): But, Willie, how are we supposed to return home?

Willie: I don´t know. We will have to see what the problem is.  I will study the machine.

Ginny: Then, I will go around this workshop and try to find something useful so as to repair it. (The machine is full of smoke) Take care, Willie, try not to hurt yourself.

Willie: Be careful! (Ginny and Willie blush. Suddenly Ginny trips and Willie holds her so as to avoid her falling down. Willie kisses Ginny and she kisses him back.)

Ginny: I think we should continue working. (Willies starts to repair the machine and Ginny helps him giving him the tools he needs).

Willie: We have finished! I am sure the machine is going to work.

Ginny: Of course, Willie, I’m sure it’s going to work!

Willie: Ginny stand on the suction platform.

Ginny: I don’t want to leave you here alone.

Willie: Do not fear, Ginny, I will use a stick so as to press the “on” button. But before we leave this place I would like to say something to you. (Hesitating) I love you. (They hug each other and, then, they stand on the platform of the machine that absolves them. Lights go off and in a minute, stage lights come up full. It is Willie’s house and the five friends stand in the center of the stage)

All: We are all back! Great! They have arrived!

Mike: I wonder what happened when we left Ginny and Willie alone.

Ginny (Reddening): Nothing interesting!

Mother (Coming in): Where were you? And why are you fighting? My God! Look at you! Your clothes are dirty and ruined! Go to sleep and do not leave your room!

Willie: But mother…

Mother: Stop it and don’t argue with me! The five of you go to the bathroom, wash yourselves and go to sleep!

Peter (To MIKE): Poor Willie, her mother is a monster!

Mike: You never met mine! (The stage lights go off.  A new kind of stage light comes up showing that it is morning)

Willie (Entering): I really had a bad dream! (Entering Ginny, Peter and Mike)

Willie (To his friends): I had a terrible nightmare.

Shannon (Entering): My nightmare was worst!

Ginny: Impossible! I also had a nightmare. Did you?

Peter and Mike: Did we all have nightmares?

Willie: I dreamed that Ginny and I went to the city of Technos and we found Mike, Peter and Shannon over there. A group of bytes, bits, and commanders…

Peter (Interrupting Willie): Are you joking? I had the same dream! I hate this life! Everything is always the same boring thing!

Ginny: I can’t believe it! I had the same dream too!

Shannon: Everybody is copying my dream! You are doing it on purpose? Is some kind of something?

Mike: We all had the same nightmare, Shannon! (To Shannon) Do you think that we are all part of your big brain?

Willie: If we all had the same nightmare, then, it was true and it really happened.

Ginny: So we have to tell everyone about it because the world may be in danger.

Mike: You are right. It’s an alien threat and we are the Avengers!

Shannon: We should trust the scientists because they are better than
the politicians. They are in search of the truth.

Mike: Finally you had a good idea!

Peter: Let’s go to see the scientists before the Supreme Technocrat brainwashes us!  (They leave.  The lights go off and when they come back the friends are at the scientific meeting facing the scientists. The scientists are sitting at a rectangular table facing the children.) 

Professor Adolf Vader (Greeting them): What have you come to tell us, children?

Willie: Sir, we came to tell you about another universe that we have discovered.

Professor Adolf Vader: Speak using scientific vocabulary because we do not understand you!

Professor Victoria Chippie (Eating a portion of cheesecake): Don’t be so rude! They don’t know how to speak like we do. They are just kids.

Shannon: I know a lot about science!

Professor Vader: Silence! You are just a kid…

Ginny: They are not listening to us.

Peter: Adults never listen to children!

Professor Victoria Chippie (Finishing the cake): I am hungry! Where is my lemon-pie?  I want another piece of cake…

Willie: Let’s go back home because they are not paying attention to us (The friends start to leave the office and Mike whispers to the others)

Professor Victoria Chippie (to Professor Vader): I think you ate my lemon-pie.

Mike (To Ginny, Willie, Shannon and Peter): I stole the lemon-pie! Let’s run! (They leave the scene)
